Everyone in my family is a huge Rob Dyrdek fan and I’ve decided that if Jesse James ruled the world, I want Rob Dyrdek to be his Vice President.

After watching the “Blob” episode of Rob’s Fantasy Factory, my niece Shelby came up with a great idea for our Lake Powell trip in June.   “Why don’t we invite Rob and his Blob to come to Lake Powell with us?”  The original idea was to write a rap, call Chanel “the rapping receptionist” but we decided to create a video at the same time hoping one of them catches his eye or ear.

My body guard Jim got Sue “The Talent” Kelley to agree to let us come down to her studio and lay down the audio.  If your not in the audio video business then you probably don’t know that “The Talent” travels the world to do anything and everything audio.  She has mad skills I could only dream of so getting her to agree to this is pretty much a miracle.   Watch this in HD on the bottom right.

Is he just a crazy white guy?  He’s talking about Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor; lets take her out of the mix, does Pat have a point?  I’m not a fan of Pat but I think he has a valid argument about white discrimination.

• Where is white history month?
• If  1,000,000 white guys marched in Washington DC, people would be pissed and call them racists.
• Why doesn’t the NBA have a per team white guy quota?
• What is the real purpose of Affirmative Action?
• Why does little africa dot com have a list of black only banks?  Where is the white list
• Why should I call you an african, mexican, native or asian american – your an american

What do I know, I’m an over 40 white guy which makes me a protected class by age.   Come on Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson I dare you to make a comment.

Yesterday I got a couple of my hairs cut at my sister-in-law’s salon, which happens to be attached to her home.  During the style segment of my hairs cut my brother-in-law called me to come down the street and help him and a neighbor encrypt their wireless network.

This neighbor had recently lost a family member to cancer and while I was encrypting there was a big discussion with the neighbor and her friends about finding a cure for cancer.

Ironically my 15-year-old daughter and I had this conversation a couple of days ago.  So let me go on the record and say

“Our health care system was never designed to cure disease.  There is no money in curing a disease.  Pharmaceutical companies lobby our elected officials, the elected official agrees to allow the creation and distribution of drugs that manage the disease, and the patient has to pay a shit load of money for these manage drugs.  The patient lives longer, the drug company makes a fortune and the elected official gets a nice gratuity to their campaign fund.”

Sad but true!

Before you “waste” your time trying to find a cure, figure out how to rid our government of the idiots who are making selfish decisions.  Do that first and then you will find plenty of people willing to open their wallets for a cure.

Every day I read three blogs pretty religiously.  They are in no particular order JohnChowDotCom, Shoemoney and the Huffington Post.

Yesterday I saw some visual vomit from The Huffington Post.  Why in the world do we have “celebrities” guest write on one of the most read blogs is beyond me other than the fact that a celebrity might bring some site traffic and Michael Acord doesn’t.

Russell Simons – “I was inspired by the President’s nomination of Justice Sonia Sotomayor for a seat on the Supreme Court. Yet, in the afternoon I was deeply saddened by the decision made by the California Supreme Court upholding Proposition 8.”

Rob Thomas – “It all started when I had made the mistake of asking why two people of the same sex shouldn’t be able to make the same life-long commitment and (more importantly) under the same god, as straight people. Why can’t my gay friends be as happily married as my wife and I?”

I have no clue what Russell meant by “inspired and saddened.”  Do what you do best and find yourself another hot chick and don’t bother us with your double points.  Russell you can speak and some will listen but Rob you and I are in the same boat.  There are only a handful of people who know who we are.

With that being said, the republic of California voted.  That means that the people of California voted and they said “yes” to Prop 8.  If a court overturns the vote of the people, this opens a whole new mess and both political parties will waste a lot of tax payer money we don’t have fighting who’s right and who’s wrong.

Boys, don’t blame our country, the constitution, those damn religious groups or the Jonas Brothers.  If your trying to place blame, blame your fellow statesman they are the ones who voted, not me.

Where do I stand on the issue of Gay Marriage?  I don’t have one, I’m not gay.  It’s like asking me “Michael what is your view on abortion?”

I don’t have one, I’m a guy and the last time I checked I don’t have a vagina.

The double H F Cycle is you hear the Hype, make the purchase, go Home and implement but Fail.

Now you play the blame game.  So who gets blamed when the above scenario happens, is it the product / course or you?  99% of the time the blame goes to THE PRODUCT / COURSE, when the blame should be placed on you.

Saturday was my wife’s birthday, her 29th (wink wink).  I was going to spend the afternoon with her but she had some clients that needed some urgent help.  I rescheduled the birthday activities for another day and decided to go play.

Quite a few years ago I learned some language from one of my business coaches.  He was teaching me the principle of nibbling.  If you’re not familiar with Roger Dawson, you should.  I like him and I like his stuff.

On this occasion Roger was teaching me how people like to nibble in every type of business deal possible.  Nibbling takes place after a business contract is signed.  One party decides they want to see if they can get just a little be more for their side so they start to nibble or make subtle demands.  Yesterday I got a call from a person who has a signed witnessed and notarized business contract and they proceeded to ask for exclusions to take place.  This is another form of nibbling

Maybe it was the mood, the heat, the day but I became very annoyed.  I was annoyed because these clients stood to make a substantial profit from the deal already, a profit that they would have never received if it weren’t for me, and they had the stones to try and hit me with a nibble technique.

I’m usually not as nice but on this occasion I asked myself what would the great philosopher “Teddy KGB” tell my clients?

If the deal works and your going to make a profit, then “why you so damn cheap?”
