About a week ago, I was having lunch with my mom and she was telling me about her life, travels and all of the things going on in her life.  I was sitting with her but my mind kept wandering.  It’t not that she’s boring it’s that I got a lot of stuff going on in my life right now.

As most moms would, mine sensed that I had wandered off mentally and as she put it “I made several attempts to get your attention but you never responded.”

You’ve been there.  It’s like a mental flat line.  You slip off into your world of things that need to be organized and things that need to get done that you tune out the rest of the world.

You live in a world of chaos!  You live in a world of a thousand things to do.

The man is an aquatic machine.  We spend a week ever year on vacation and for his “relaxation time” John swims a mile ever day.  Every other day he does two miles, one in the morning and one at dusk.  If I told you his age you wouldn’t believe me, you’d call me a liar so why try and debate it. Some have said that he’s not human; I have seen 20 year old’s attempt to compete only to be left behind treading water in their own vomit.  I’m not trying to gross you out but it is what it is.

I got a little frustrated trying to twist my hand around to take a self portrait on my latest vacation using my Iphone.  I know, I’m vain.

The way i did it was to open my camera app, turn my phone upside down, press and hold down the shutter button, arrange the angle and then release the shutter button.  This method produced a blurry photo 70% of the time.  I don’t know if it was me or the suger free Red Bull but it was frustrating.

I’m leaving for San Francisco and I wanted to solve my self portrait problem. I know, we covered it, i’m vain.   I found an app that should have been added to the iphone 3G (i don’t have the 3GS, hearing lots of battery problems still) called FotoTimer.  This app solves the self portrait problem by taking a timed photo.

First, determine how much time you need, whether you want to take a sequence or not, turn your volume up, press the shutter and you’ll have 5,10,15 or 20 seconds to align your iphone and bam…… a photo thats not blurry.

When your sound is on, Foto Timer releases a sound that lets you know when your iphone is about to take the picture.  This allows me enough time to pose, hug old people or if necessary, kiss a baby.

A few months ago I poured out my soul and announced to the world that I changed my blog name and added “I’ve bought all your stuff and I still suck at generating website traffic,” because it’s true.

I believe traffic is the name of the game and every website, blog and sales page are out to claim their piece of the world wide web, including yours truly.  I started this blog more for my own entertainment than anything else.  I still have no idea what makes a good blog.  lets face the facts.  I’m a retired seminar speaker who laughs at his own jokes more than my audiences did.  Even my kids, my manager, publicist, legal team and my body guard / rap partner JC-Mix-A-Lot know that.

Over the last year of trying to figure out the internet marketing business, I have spent a fortune on my education.  I have a really super small list that are more concerned for my mental well being than actually buying my products and services but today I got my very first affiliate commission check.  Even though its a faction of my investment, it’s still my check.

Having an internet business is like playing golf.  You can spend all day poking around in the rough and sand and all it takes is one really good shot or check and soon your hear yourself saying “that’s enough to bring me back tomorrow to try again.”

Yesterday I went for a WOG across the Golden Gate Bridge.  The bridge is 72 years old and millions of people from around the world come to San Francisco every year to take in this awesome man / woman made wonder.  If you haven’t made it to the Golden Gate, I suggest you go and take your own WOG, its worth it.

Here is my WOG across the Golden Gate Bridge.  No one died during the filming but as you’ll see in the video a helicopter comes pretty close.

I have seen this “stake my claim” desire in people’s eyes, heard it in their voice and have seen their urgency in the body language at my seminars.

I believe the nation suffers from the “double H F” cycle.

You read some great sales copy that’s seems to be written just for you.  You get all excited, the emotions kick in and before you know it your reaching for your Amex card to make the purchase.  You take your new business home and you start to implement it but life gets in the way and soon your business is put on the shelf, never to be heard from again until something happens in your life that causes the “I deserve more” attitude.

The double H F Cycle is you hear the Hype, make the purchase, go Home and implement but Fail.

Now you play the blame game.  So who gets blamed when the above scenario happens, is it the product / course or you?  99% of the time the blame goes to THE PRODUCT / COURSE, when the blame should be placed on you.

Another season of celebrity apprentice has come to a close.  The show has it haters and lovers, I happen to be a lover of the show.  There is nothing better then a real world celebrity trying to raise money for a charity that will benefit people in a foreign land.

I can see why they chose a charity that benefits those outside the US.  We have no poverty, all of our inner cities have gone through a revitalization process. The damage from Ike and Katrina has all been taken care of.  They announced last week that the dropout rate for kids in high school has vanished.  Every school district in the country will have 100% attendance and graduation.  We have zero crime rates and drug use has vanished.  No more domestic violence, and not one DUI will be reported in 2009 and beyond.  Unemployment went to zero this morning and our homeless rate – gone.  It makes perfect sense to support a charity outside the country since the US is perfect and has no problems.

Do you remember the Sprint commercials where they asked,  “What would the airline industry look like if roadies ruled the world?”  They did the same thing with firemen.  Both of those were great commercials that made you think.

Here is my question “What would the world look like if Jesse James Ruled The World?”

I watched Jesse kick Dennis Rodman in the Gens and he did it with love, grace and dignity.  Speaking of dignity, I want the ruler of my world to eat chili and fart with no thought as to who it offends or how.
